Farley Blitz smashed Ballymac Ruso’s track record at Monmore in 27.60 at his 4th ever race start.
He won a heat of the Irish Derby at Shelbourne Park in the fastest time of the night of 29.57. The next fastest time was 29.63 by another son of Hondo Black, Monlesa Alsation.
Blitz also ran 3rd in the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes beaten less than a length by Makeshift and Tyrur Big Mike.
